S5D Awarded MegaGrant from Epic Games Unreal Engine.

We are proud to announce that Sector 5 Digital (S5D) has been selected as an Epic MegaGrant Recipient.

S5D uses Unreal Engine for a number of our immersive experiences, such as the Digital Collaboration Center created for Ecolab Nalco Water (ENW) at their campus in Naperville, IL. S5D and partners created a physical holodeck, equipped with nine edge-blended 3D projectors, to virtually immerse Nalco Water’s customers in their specific industries and encourage learning about ENW’s new digital offerings. Unreal Engine provided us with the tools to create the stunning digital assets shown onscreen. Read the full case study here

The Future Flight Controls (FFC) V2 initiative created for Bell Textron was also developed in Unreal Engine. S5D built an application using UE4 to put the general population through a realistic flight simulation with varying flight control sticks to facilitate comparative analysis for research purposes. The FFC experience integrates with Bell’s flight model data, allowing for an accurate representation of how the aircraft actually flies.  To view the complete case study, click here.

Sector 5 Digital is extremely grateful to be named an Epic MegaGrant recipient as it will help us improve our experiences using Unreal Engine and add exciting new features moving forward. S5D has also been granted early access to Unreal Engine’s new MetaHuman Creator Software, which sets an unprecedented standard of quality, fidelity, and realism for digital human creation.

We can’t wait to incorporate these new technologies into our experiences, allowing us to continue helping our enterprise clients dream the impossible and then make it happen.
